WESTMONT, IL — Moving into a new home is a big life event, especially if that home is built from containers once used to house electric windmill blades. That's the case for one Westmont resident, whose 2,300-square-foot container dream home is currently under construction, Suburban Life reports.

Mary Jo Knapik's new house is built from two large shipping containers outfitted with doors and windows and filled with the normal comforts of home, including a workout room. The home, located off of 55th Street in Westmont, will also feature a loft and an upper-level courtyard.

Knapik drew inspiration from shows about container houses on HGTV, according to Suburban Life. Construction on the container home is expected to wrap up in spring of 2020.
